Project Helany: Second Stage Housing

The House Sound Women’s Centre Society is undertaking a needs assessment to get a comprehensive picture of the housing needs for women experiencing abuse.  As such, they are looking for participants who have experienced abuse to complete a questionnaire and/or participate in a focus group.  For women completing the questionnaire there is a $10 grocery voucher as an honorarium.  The focus group participants will receive $20 cash as well as childcare.  I have a stack of the questionnaires in my office and I have also agreed to keep a list of names of individuals interested in the focus group.   If  you know of anyone interested in either of these opportunities, please encourage them to drop in to see me or leave me a voice message at extension 2265.   I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Thank you,

Hepatitis A Vaccine is recommended for high risk individuals and children and adolescents aged

6 Months - 18 Years

·         Infants will get their 1st dose at 6 months of age and a 2nd dose at 18 months of age

Hepatitis A is a virus that attacks the liver.

Hepatitis A often spreads through the household when one person is infected

·         It can be spread by sharing food

·         It can also be spread through touch, including through normal child-to-child contact

The vaccine is the best way to protect against hepatitis A infection. When you get vaccinated, you help protect others as well.

Please bring your children to the school to get their vaccination.
